Ghungroo threaded ankle bell for Kathak Dance 2L100

This is a string Ghungroo pair with each ankle bell having about 96-100 brass bells. This item has high quality big brass bells on the string. Very good sound !!! There are string on each end of the Ankle Bell with which the performer need to tie the ankle bell to their ankles - not buckle type. This is suitable for adults or upper teanagers as it is heavy.

Each bells are about 14~15mm in diameter and the lenght of each string is about 36 inches. There is extra rope to tie the bells around your ankle. 

Dancers use Ankle bells while performing all kinds of asian dances. Especially belly dancers and Indian Classical dancers use ankle bells for all their performances. These bells are made by attaching ghungroos (metal bells) to leather or cloth pads.

Ankle bells are known in different names in different parts of India. In Tamilnadu, it is known as Salangai and in Kerala people call it Chilanka.
